Obituary for Primo Carino
January 1, 1931 to December 14, 2017
Primo passed away peacefully in the morning of December 14. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Luisa; children Janet and Bruno (Bobbi); grandsons Darcy and Travis; sister Silvana; niece Sandra; in-laws Ken and Joanne; and many other friends and extended family in Canada, Italy, and across Europe. He was predeceased by his daughter Nadia in 2005. Special thanks to cousins Laura and Luciano, and friends Nucci and Agnese for their support and kindness. Primo immigrated to Canada in 1956 and married Luisa in 1958. They started their life together in Burnaby and lived in the same house for over 50 years. He was a simple man who took pleasure working in his garden, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing bocce at Confederation Park. He loved his family and enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports. The family would like to thank everyone at Burnaby Hospital and Crossroads Hospice for their care and support during Primo’s illness. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Helen’s Parish, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby at 11:00 am on Friday, December 22, followed by a private burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crossroads Hospice in Port Moody or the Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
