After a year long hard fought battle with gallbladder cancer, it is with heartbreaking sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved Benito Manzo. Predeceased by his parents Raffaela and Michele and 14 siblings in Italy. Left to mourn with broken hearts; his devoted wife of 57 years, Adele. Their four adoring children: Aldina Graziano, Raffaela (Frank) Weima, Aniello “Nello” (Diane) Manzo, Maria (Ken) Michayluk and Nonno Benny’s treasured grandchildren; Nicholas (Katrina), Carlo (Diora), Tiana, Adelina, Juliana, Montana, Benito Jr., Bianca and Bronson. Benito was born in Sarno, Salerno, Italy and was the youngest of 18 siblings, survived by his bothers Armando Manzo, Aniello (Maria) Manzo and sister Elena Adiletta of Italy. He was a trusted brother-in-law to Bernadina (Domenico) Liguori, Stella (Santino) Esposito, Giusepina Murano, Giuseppe (Clorinda) Crescenzo, Antonio (Elizabeth) Crescenzo, Salvatore (Vivian) Crescenzo and was the fun loving Zio to many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and USA. He was a true friend to his cousins, specifically the Crescenzo, Renzullo and Pizzolon families. He established long time relationships with his AJ Forsythe co-workers, his many friends and neighbours throughout his life in Salerno, East Vancouver, North Burnaby and his vacation home in Palm Springs. He will be sorely missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known this very special man.
